Mr & Mrs Dodd's three bedroom semi-detached home needed almost constant heating, due to Mr Dodd's respiratory problems. The energy bill for electricity and coal, prior to the improvements was an average of £45 per week, (£2340 per annum) in 2006.

After the completion of the home improvement project, undertaken by Eaga Scotland, the heating bills were reduced by over 60% to just £17 per week on average including all standing charges, an annual saving of £1456 per annum. In addition to the huge savings on energy costs The Dodds were also delighted with the improved comfort of their home.

The system installed in the house was a combination of a 8kW HeatKing air source heat pump, new radiators, cavity wall insulation and loft insulation all of which were undertaken by Eaga Scotland. The heat pump was floor mounted at the rear of the property and the remaining work done inside the property.
