The pilot scheme reflects the local authority’s commitment to tackle escalating fuel costs and introduce lower carbon technologies to local homes. 
The Piercebridge project is an installation of Air Source Heat Pumps in four semi-detached bungalows at Piercebridge in the North East of England. As the first installation of this kind to be undertaken by Darlington Borough Council the project was jointly funded by Community Energy Solutions (CES).
